Below is an article from the November 2, 1922 edition of the Owingsville Outlook. At issue is whether the law of 1920 or 1922 should apply in regard to the school board election and whether the restraining order keeping the county court clerk from placing two names on the ballot should be upheld. Now, we may have our share of school board blues, but they did back in the day as well. That might not make you feel any better about some current actions and publicity, but at least you will know grandma or grandpa had to suffer through it, too - or, perhaps grandpa was right in the middle of it!
p.s. Sorry this article appears chopped up. Well, it actually is chopped up as I was experimenting with ways to download items from the old newspapers and make them big enough to read easily. I'll keep working on that.
p.p.s. Don't forget that the Bath County Produce Auction has started back up for the year. Support your friends and neighbors - support your local farmers.
